Wikipedia defines Entertainment as "Entertainment is an action, event or activity that aims to entertain, amuse and interest a public ("public" can consist of one person). This audience can have a passive role, as in the case of a play, a show on a TV or a movie, or active, as in the case of a video game". But here at JiniLabs for us its just one word IndiaTVGuide. Not only does it allow you to plan your weekends around any important show but will now allow you to watch it through youtube. So you are never far away from your fave show.
Today by adding a new feature we have brought you one step closer to your entertainment needs. Yes people, we have launched the Video on Demand feature on the app. It lets you watch movies/TV serials/Short films/Video Albums- of course with ads or we will let you watch it without ads once you start paying for it. Remember there is no free meal. Its very simple. Log into IndiaTVGuide select Videos and then watch the movies. We are on iPhone and Android.

Services used in India TV Guide – Android
We can probably see 2 or probably 3 services running in the background in India TV Guide application.
HttpService starts whenever data is being fetched from the server. This service runs until the data is downloaded and stops running once the data is fetched.
WidgetProvider$Update service keeps on running in the background if India TV Guide widget is open as it has to update the program details. If you don't want this service to run, remove the widget from home screen.
PushService is always running to handle push notifications, the notifications that are received by your device, in case any information related to the application is sent. It uses relatively small amount of memory and consumes less battery.
India TV Guide Android v1.4.2 – Released with YouTube Video feature and UI Improvements for better look and feel
Released India TV Guide for android with the following users.
- YouTube Videos : Watch videos of official YouTube channels/particular programme.
- UI Improvement: Changed program listing screen for better look and feel. No need to scroll down till end of the today's program list to see next days schedule. Also improved program detail screen and there you have YouTube link too.
- Fixed small bugs

India TV Guide Android v 1.3.9 – Released with movies today, auto update of data, default language setting option and more
We released India TV Guide for android with some good features.
- Movies Today feature shows a list of movies playing across all channels. You can filter movies by languages.
- Filter channels/movies by language. You can select multiple languages also
- There is an IMDB link for any English programme /movie. You can see IMDB ratings for movie/programme
- Also you have google link to search for programme details
- There is an Auto update option in the settings, which will download data automatically once in a day. No need for manual refresh. By default auto update is enabled.
- Remember exit screen feature in the settings will remember the last visited page. Application will start from last visited page. Default it is enabled. The pages could be any Channel list, Favorite channels or Movies Today.
- Default Language option in the settings allows to set your default languages, which will filter channels/movies automatically by default language. To see other language channels/movies you can use the filter option in the respective screen.
